  • It’s my 1 year anniversary since going #plantbased . It has been an amazing journey. I’ve learned so much and cried even more. Yes, cried. It’s definitely a challenge to let go of all the things you’ve loved to consume for 29 years. (Also there is this thing called the detox period 👹) . It has definitely been worth it. My liver function has improved, my hormonal cystic acne is soo much better, and my weight has dropped by 25 lbs.; and I was able to keep it off despite being sedentary for 7 month due the foot and ankle surgery. . I still have a lot to work on and so much to learn. But, I can say that this has been one of the better decisions I’ve made for my health 💚 . Huge thank you to @dr.mauriciogonzalez for his posts and guidance. He also took the time to answer a few of my questions. Hearing it from a medical professional helped me feel more comfortable when making the decisions I made with my food choices. . Also, my friend @alimawho She motivated me and answered tons of my silly questions when I was considering making this lifestyle change. Thanks girly, I appreciate you . And Lastly, my husband @tbo92324 He has been my biggest supporter, even helped me find new restaurants to go to 💚 he may not be plant based himself but he loves to join me and enjoy the food with me.

  • Have you ever applied lip balm and felt like you constantly needed to reapply🙋🏽‍♀️ . Lanolin is a waxy substance that is secreted by the oil glands of sheep. It is used in lip balms because of its highly emollient properties and ability to prevent water loss. For those who aren't sensitive, lanolin can be great. However, lips lack oil glands and could be more reactive to it. Dermatologists considers lanolin a "significant sensitizer," and on the "A-List" for top allergens.   • 8 months post-op . Just a few months ago I was crying in pain not knowing if I would ever have full range and motion of my ankle . 6 months of therapy and prayer has brought me to this very moment. I am back to dance, exercising, and able to do a light jog 🙌🏾 #praiseGod . I am GRATEFUL beyond words to my donor, my surgeon, my therapist, and most of all, God . In my weakest moments and through the pain, he is my refuge, my healer, my strength. #allglorytoGod
